Lauren is an associate with Dunay, Miskel, and Backman, LLP, practicing in the firm’s Land Use and Zoning group. Lauren assists in all aspects of the development process, including comprehensive land use plan amendments, environmental permitting, platting, developments of regional impact (DRI), due diligence, and preparing development applications for submittal to local government agencies.
Prior to pursuing her J.D., Lauren was a publicist and represented real estate developers throughout the pre-construction through sell-out process. While working closely with in-house counsels, Lauren was drawn to the legal aspects of the development process. As a result, Lauren changed careers, and after focusing on real property interests with an emphasis on land use during law school, she chose to pursue a career in land use with this firm.
Lauren is an astronomy enthusiast and enjoys exploring south Florida by boat, trying new restaurants, and planning last minute trips to unique destinations.
