Gary Dunay is a Senior Partner in the firm’s Real Estate practice group. Gary has a sophisticated practice with extensive experience in complex real estate transactions for over thirty years. Gary represents builders, developers and financial institutions, as well as many national and international companies throughout the State of Florida and around the country. Gary handles all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisition, construction, development and financing of real estate projects.

Ms. Miskel is currently a Senior Partner with Dunay, Miskel and Backman, LLP, and has been practicing in land use, zoning and regulatory law for 24 years. She is qualified as a land use and zoning expert witness in quasi-judicial proceedings; she has represented public and private sector clients in connection with Chapter 166, 163 and 380, Florida Statutes; represented private sector in over 50 variances and waivers over the past 24 years; represented over 50 code enforcement matters throughout Palm Beach and Broward counties; prepared and processed text amendments to Land Development and Zoning Code Regulations; prepared Comprehensive Land Use Plan Amendments in cities and counties; represented clients in connection with Developments of Regional Impacts; and she is well versed in Chapters 380, 163, 177 and other regulatory chapters of Florida law. She has represented clients before School Boards, Board of County Commissioners, City Commissions, FDOT and other Governmental Agencies and Housing Authority Boards.

Scott Backman is a Senior Partner in the firm’s Land Use & Zoning practice group. Scott represents property owners, developers and local governments in all aspects of the development approval process with federal, state and local government agencies, including planning and zoning applications, zoning code amendments, comprehensive land use plan amendments, environmental permitting, platting, developments of regional impact (DRI) and annexations.

Dwayne L. Dickerson is a partner in the firm's Land Use & Zoning practice group. Mr. Dickerson represents developers, property owners and local governments seeking development entitlements and environmental permit approvals for their real estate projects.  Additionally, he works closely with real estate attorneys on land use, zoning and environmental issues affecting real estate transactions for buyers, sellers and lenders. His practice also includes the representation of homeowners’ associations and condominium associations.

Hope Calhoun is a partner on the firm's Land Use & Zoning practice group. Ms. Calhoun graduated from the University of Florida College of Law and has close to 20 years of local government and land use experience. As a partner in the firm’s Land Use & Zoning practice group, Ms. Calhoun represents property owners, developers and local governments in all aspects of the development approval process. These approvals require working with federal, state and local government agencies. Ms.

Ele Zachariades is a partner in the firm's Land Use & Zoning practice group. Ms. Zachariades is an urban planner and planning lawyer with a diverse educational and professional background in both the public and private arena of land use and planning.

Christina Bilenki is a Partner with Dunay, Miskel, Backman and Blattner, LLP, practicing in the firm’s Land Use & Zoning group. Christina assists in all aspects of the development process, including comprehensive land use plan amendments, environmental permitting, platting and developments of regional impact (DRI).

David is an associate with Dunay, Miskel, and Backman, LLP, practicing in the firm’s Land Use and Zoning group. With a diverse understanding of land development, David has represented developers from acquisition through receiving government entitlements. As part of this process, David has assisted clients with development applications, comprehensive plan and map amendments, rezonings, variances, site plan approvals, and zoning text amendments.

Sara is an Associate Attorney with Dunay, Miskel, and Backman, LLP, practicing in the firm’s Land Use and Zoning group. Sara assists in all aspects of the development process, including comprehensive land use plan amendments, environmental permitting, platting, developments of regional impact (DRI), due diligence, and preparing development applications for submittal to local government agencies.

Beth Schrantz is our Director of Planning Services who joined the firm’s Land Use and Zoning practice group in 2011. Beth works closely with clients, technical consultants and government agencies to facilitate development at the local and regional levels throughout South Florida. Beth is well versed in the development review process from the due diligence phase through final land use approvals.

Eric Coffman is a partner on the firm's Land Use & Zoning practice group. Eric is experienced in a wide variety of real estate, leasing, joint venture and financing matters. His practice is focused on representing real estate developers in the acquisition, sale, and development of shopping centers, and related leases with national and regional retail tenants.

Jeff Schneider is an Associate Attorney with Dunay, Miskel, and Backman, LLP, practicing in the firm’s Commercial Real Estate division. Jeff’s representation includes the acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real property and business assets, as well as representation of Landlords and Tenants in complex leasehold transactions. Jeff also assists in representing Borrowers and Lenders in Commercial Financing Matters. Jeff has over 5 years of experience as a transactional real estate attorney and is passionate about bringing his clients to a successful closing.
